Zaria Horizons in collaboration with the Writers Project of Ghana and Vidya Bookshop presents a special poetry session with Nigerian writer Dami Ajayi. The event will take place at Vidya Bookshop, Osu, Accra on Saturday, 12 September 2015, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Dami Ajayi studied Medicine and Surgery at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria where he discovered his love for writing. In that time he also co-founded Saraba, an international literary magazine.

Dami has received many awards across the genres of poetry, non-fiction and fiction.

Daybreak, his electronic chapbook, became an underground classic and his first volume of poetry, Clinical Blues, was selected by This Is Africa (TIA) as one of the best books published in the last five years.

Dami contributes book, music and film reviews to several culture journals. He is currently working on a novel about contemporary Lagos while studying to become a psychiatrist.
