Announcing Pa Gya! A literary Festival in Accra (2021)

Writers Project of Ghana and Goethe-Institut Ghana are pleased to announce the fifth edition of Pa Gya! A Literary Festival in Accra, which will take place from Friday 15th October 2021 to Sunday 17th October 2021. Pa Gya! A Literary Festival in Accra is a three day literary arts festival and features various activities such as readings, panel discussions, poetry performances and story-telling sessions, book launches, literary prize awards, comics and graphic novels, and more.

The first edition of Pa Gya! A Literary Festival in Accra  was held in 2017 and the festival has been held every year since then. In 2020, a virtual/in-person mix for events was adopted in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic. This year, the festival will again be in a mixed mode format.

The festival is currently inviting proposals from organizations, groups or persons interested in participating in this year’s festival from 1st August 2021. These proposals must focus on literary output (writing, books, performance, etc.) or activities (workshops, book clubs, etc.) or related projects.

Interested persons, organizations and groups who wish to present or stage an event may email pagyafestival@gmail.com with the subject PROPOSAL FOR PAGYA 2021. Such proposals will be received until 21st August 2021. The festival is also open for collaborations and support and can be reached via the same email.
