Workshop for Writers and Publishers

Writers Project of Ghana is organising a workshop for writers and publishers on Saturday 27th June, 2015. The event will take place from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM at "Totally Youth", near Alisa Hotel in North Ridge, Accra.

This workshop is the second in a series intended to assist writers prepare full-length books for publication. It is open to all writers and publishers.

Unpublished or new writers will benefit from having their work reveiwed by the facilitators, who will also give guidelines for script development and publishing.

Publishers will also benefit from the interaction with Dr. Imasuen, who is the Chief Operating of Kachifo Ltd., publishers of the Farafina imprint, and it is expected that business opportunities will be explored. There will be a session dedicated to discussing the publishing scene in Nigeria and Ghana.

Facilitators for this workshop are Dr. Eghosa Imasuen, Dr. Mawuli Adjei, and Mr. Derek Nnuro.

The writer and prospective participant should have completed or be working on a novel, a collection of short stories, or a memoir. No other genres are being considered at this time.

Writers wishing to participate in the workshop may send in a sample of writing, less than 1,500 words long, to info@writersprojectghana.com on or before Wednesday, 24th June, 2015.

Publishers wishing to participate only need to send an e-mail expressing interest, to the same address.

Participation is open to all, and the event is offered free of charge.
