Richard Afutu Kotei
Richard Afutu Kotei is the 5th of the 12th children of Mr. Amon Kotei, the designer of Ghana’s Coat of Arms, and madam Sarah Adoley Addo, both from LA, Accra. Richard attended Labone Secondary School in Accra, then proceeded to England after completing sixth form. He later moved to the United States for further studies, attending First Boston State College (now part of the University of Massachusetts) where he got his BS degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, then moving to Northeastern University in Boston, where he got his BS degree in Pharmacy. He next attended the Nova Southeastern University in Davie Florida, where he got his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. He worked for over 30 years as a clinical Pharmacist in one of the major Teaching Hospitals in West Palm Beach until semi- retirement in 2020. Like his iconic father, Richard also has a passion for arts and photography as well and has done a few art exhibitions in the US.
