Writers Project of Ghana and the Goethe-Institut Ghana invite you to a reading with Nigerian author Michael Afenfia, our author for the month of June 2021. This reading and interaction session will take place on Wednesday 30th June at 7 PM. The event will also be live on Writers Project of Ghana’s social media handles (Instagram and Facebook) and Youtube.

Michael Afenfia is the author of the novels, When the Moon Caught Fire (2010), A Street Called Lonely (2011), Don’t Die on Wednesday (2014) and the acclaimed series turned novel, The Mechanics of Yenagoa (2020). His fifth novel is Rain Can Never Know.

Michael studied Law and Business Administration and is currently a diversity, settlement and inclusion practitioner. When he is not writing or speaking to newcomers and locals about race relations and immigration, he mentors young creatives in his home country, Nigeria. At other times he can be found watching television, listening to music or travelling. He is currently based in Saskatchewan,Canada.
