Writers Project of Ghana proudly presents a public reading and workshop with Ghanaian writer and physician, Kwei Quartey.

We are organising two events, a writing workshop and a public reading, both with Kwei Quartey.

Kwei Quartey is a fiction writer and physician based in Pasadena, California. His crime fiction novels are held in high regard, and he was on the Los Angeles Times Bestseller List in 2009. His books include Wife of the Gods (2009), Children of the Street (2011), and Murder at Cape Three Points (2014). Workshop

This workshop is the first in a series intended to assist writers prepare full-length books for publication. It is open to all writers, who must first apply. However, the following conditions muct be noted:

The writer and prospective participant must have completed, or is working on a novel, a collection of short stories, or a memoir. No other genres are being considered at this time.

The number of participants is limited to ten (10).

If you wish to participate in the workshop, please send in a sample of your writing, of length not exceeding 2000 words, to info@writersprojectghana.com or to m.egblewogbe(at)gmail.com on or before Wednesday, 17th December, 2014.

Participation is open to all, and the event is offered free of charge.

Reading

Kwei Quartey will also share his work at a public reading, following the tradition of Writers Project Ghana reading events. This reading offers the opportunity to meet and interact with Kwei Quartey. There will be a short discussion session after the reading.

This event is open to all, and one need not have participated in the workshop to attend the reading.
